Mattisaux was ever the passionate soul. From child to man, his every task, every action, every word held an intensity to rival even the Fury’s harshest winters. For what was passion if not love?
What was love without anger?Over half his life was devoted to protecting the sanctity of his home, that no mother, father, or child would have to live without their most cherished. The pain he endured at the passing of his father left an aching in his heart and an agony that nigh destroyed his mother. It was a cause worth sacrificing himself for, to be Halone’s guiding hand in the face of an everlasting strife.And at the worst of times, that strife would happen at his unsuspecting hands; A gnawing secret he refuses to acknowledge.

A brutish ire always simmered beneath the surface since then. Virulence scowl his face and negativity flows through his words as skillfully as he wields his sword. In the advent of war’s end, he could no longer leash the resentment sowed in the core of his heart, not when fed falsehoods and betrayals.Only to those deserved, those caught in the wrong place at his right time, would be placed under his knife.Yes, a favorite past time to sate an indignation suited for a man of the Fury.

⟡ Ishgardian
As squadron captain for an order in House Haillenarte, the name of Captain Baschet has made its rounds over the decades. For the late father, memories of valiance and courage bring pride to his House. However, in talks of the son, whispers of cruelty put the name in question despite his own courageous achievements.

⟡ Nobility
After his father became a dragoon, the family was granted the honor of residing within the Pillars since before Mattisaux's eighth summer and he was ever the social child. There might be a chance you have seen him fighting with the other children or frequenting the Cathedral.

⟡ What's In a Name?
Mattisaux always remember names, especially when he knows the face.

⟡ Back in Black
Mattisaux has returned to Ishgard after several years of absence. He can be seen jaunting through the city no matter the weather, no matter who might see him.

⟡ We're on a leve
A variety of places, activities, and fun can be had in many Eorzean locations. From gathering to escorting, delivering to population control, the possibilities are endless. He will even go as far as Gyr Abania if the job sounds promising.

⟡ RP Themes
Long story short, this character is for dark and mature themes. Mattisaux's personality and story are not for the lighthearted. Conventionally speaking, he's not a morally good person and explores hostile aspects of life (violence, sexual themes, etc) so it's important to understand that there may be happenings in RP that might make some uncomfortable. After reading this and you're still somehow interested, let's talk!

⟡ Behind the Character
I enjoy talking about RP and speculate future stories/motivations about the characters I interact with. Letting the creativity fly and reacting to the unexpected is what makes RPing so exciting for me.

⟡ IC =/= OOC
I play an abhorrent, sometimes cruel, person but he is an RP character. IC bleeding into OOC will immediately lose my interest in further RP.

⟡ Immersion
Abiding by the lore is important to me otherwise I wouldn't choose to RP in this game to begin with. That being said, this game has plenty of wiggle room and excuses for all of us to be creative and not blatantly break it into oblivion.In addition, I prefer not to RP with the Warrior of Light or any main NPC in the story. Mattisaux does, however, acknowledge their existence considering the events of Heavensward.
